Q: How do I hang ribbon on the tag?
A: There are lots of ways to do it. The key is that the ribbon must go through all three slits.

1. Thread one end of ribbon from back to front through top slit.
2. Take opposite end and thread through the middle slit from back to front.
3. Pull ends equal. Thread both ends through third slit, from front to back.

Q: How many ribbons can I fit on one tag?
A: That depends on the width of the ribbons. Ribbons will hang side-by-side. The standard tags are a little over an inch wide, so a 5/8" ribbon and a 3/8" ribbon fit comfortably side-by-side. A JUMBO tag is 2" wide, so you can fit up to 2" of ribbon side-by-side.

Q: What are the dots for?
A: If you have a super-long length of ribbon, we recommend you cut off a manageable piece. We like 1 yard. Then, affix the inventory dot to the corner of the ribbon tag. This reminds you that you have more of that ribbon when you have used up that piece.

Q: What if I don't like cutting my ribbon?
A: Considering cutting a piece of ribbon for your Ribbon Ring so you have a sample of what you keep on spools. An alternative is to fold your ribbon in half or thirds before threading it on the Ribbon Ring tag if you want to hang a long piece of yardage.

Q: Where should I hang my Ribbon Ring?
A: Any hook will do? Cute coat hooks can be found at home decor departments like Target, Pier One, etc.

Q: Does Ribbon Ring travel well?
A: Yes! Roll it in a hand towel and put it in your scrap tote.  An alternative is to use the plastic sleeve your newspaper comes in. Slip the plastic over your Ribbon Ring and poke a hole so the ring sticks out.

Q: I am worried about my Ribbon Ring getting dusty.
A: Use the plastic sleeve from your newspaper as a protective cover. Simply slip the plastic over your Ribbon Ring and poke a hole so the ring sticks out.

Q: How will I remember the name/color of the ribbon since I am throwing away the spool?
A: Use a small address label to write the info and affix it to the Ribbon Ring tag. This works great for designers who submit work for publication.

Q: Should I put all of my Ribbon Ring tags on one big ring or several small rings?
A: This is completely your choice. We sort ours by color.

Q: How many Ribbon Ring tags will a 2" ring hold?
A: One 2" ring will hold 30-45 Ribbon Ring tags comfortably. One 3" ring will hold 90-120 Ribbon Ring tags comfortably.
